Hollywood actor Daniel Dae Kim gave wise advice, “…there is as much wisdom in listening as there is in speaking–and that goes for all relationships, not just romantic ones”
Although Latista is a field management solution designed for construction professionals and not a romantic dating app, which users swipe left or right on people’s selfies to build relationships, team Latista still takes relationship building very seriously.
So, what kind of relationship building is there in field management? Latista have learned that the best product development strategy for construction industry professionals is the one where we grow together with our clients by listening to their needs and providing them with the right tools to make their work on the job site more organized and more efficient. Therefore, we continue to follow this principle and are excited to announce a few enhancements that have been added to Latista in 2015. Take a look…
- Third party cloud storage
During the pre-construction phase of a project, owners, architects, and general contractors spend a bulk of their time sorting through endless stacks of documents, including drawings, contracts, and forms. To organize these items, many use third party storage sites or “document repositories”. Unfortunately, these cloud storage options are generally on an island of their own, unable to communicate and transfer information to each other. So, we asked ourselves, how can we make document sharing seamless for our clients?
As a result, Latista now has the ability to talk to these third-party cloud storages. Users who have documents stored in places like Sharepoint, Box.com, and other document repositories have easy access to the most up to date version of their project related documents through Latista, thus saving time, money, and enhancing work efficiency.
- Latista Job Pics
In the construction industry, a picture can be worth much more than a thousand words. Photo documentation has the ability to save general contractors from costly mistakes and lawsuits.
In 2015, we were approached by a client, who was interested in documenting their project progress through photo documentation. At the time, the only way to have proper photo documentation was to hire a company that sends photographers to take job site pictures for their clients which can easily cost $50,000 to $100,000 per project.
We tackled this issue by working closely with our clients, from collecting data and creating mock-ups to testing the feature and the final launch, Latista was proud to announce the launching of Latista Job Pics in 2015. Now, our users have an easy, efficient, and economical way of tracking their project’s progress. (For more details on Latista Job Pics, please click here)
