Great arguments were made in Mr. Peter Cholakis’ recent LinkedIn post “2.5% of Construction is On-Time & On-Budget”. Although we are not 100% sure about the accuracy of the unsourced data, we cannot agree more with his following words:
“The single most important thing you can do to improve construction productivity, quality, and satisfaction is to focus upon collaborative construction delivery methods…Great teams and long term relationships don’t just happen, they are built.”
In Part 1 of this blog post, we mentioned two feature enhancements that Latista rolled out in 2015 as a result of close collaboration with our clients. Now, let’s dive in and learn a little more about a few more of our client collaborative achievements from the past year…
- Latista EasyNav
In 2015, we were surprised to hear from one of our clients that their field personnel had to launch multiple applications (apps) inorder to complete their simplest field tasks. For instance, a superintendent on a project would use Latista as an issue tracking tool while launching the drawings in another application to visually locate the issues. Imagine all the time wasted and the high probability of making mistakes by having to perform these tedious steps for all field related tasks while on the construction sites.
With Latista EasyNav, field management can be so much easier and efficient for field users by having all project related documents and drawings conveniently linked together. This navigation puts everything you need right at your fingertips without the hassle of switching to another app.
- Latista QuickSync
We all know that on the construction site, time means money. Construction projects can last for what seems to be like an eternity and as your project matures, the amount of data you have increases. And, to top it all off, most construction sites are not equipped with high-speed internet connections making it virtually impossible to sync your data together in the field, when you need it.
To alleviate this issue, we developed Latista QuickSync. This technology breakthrough allows projects to be fully synchronized in less than 10 minutes, all while in the field. It’s designed to work with disruptive Internet connections which allows the process of synchronization to be initiated at different times and locations where Internet connections are available without losing meaningful data recorded in the field.
As mentioned in the previous post, Latista remains fully devoted to develop the most user-friendly field management solution on Earth. We sincerely appreciate all the inputs from our clients, regardless of whether it is a past, present, or even future client! Interested in being our partner in crime? Click here to start!
