LATISTA has helped KSI Services to automate quality control and warranty processes and
improve communications with subcontractors, including work order management, by
implementing Latista Field Service's Quality Control and Warranty modules.
KSI Services is ranked among the Top 15 multifamily housing developers in the nation
and is the largest land developer in Metropolitan, Washington.
Latista Field Service solution is an innovative software package designed
to improve performance and effectiveness of mobile workers. It integrates
a low-light digital camera for issues capture with punch list management
tools and converts work orders from English to Spanish and 10 other
languages. The software also automatically synchronizes wirelessly
with a server for centralized management and reporting. KSI selected
Latista Field Service to achieve the following project goals:
• Improve quality control of performed construction
• Increase speed of warranty issue resolution
• Manage quality of work from subcontractors
• Strengthen relations with subcontractors through improved work order
management
"There is significant interest from multifamily housing builders to
minimize repair costs and avoid litigation problems", said Christopher
Ramsey, executive vice president of Latista. "Latista Field Service
solution helps improve quality control and warranty service and as a
result, reduces problems with repairs.”
John Longo, director of construction for KSI, expressed his enthusiasm
about Latista Field Service. “This new solution will help manage the
quality of work from our subcontractors and help us maintain the highest
possible warranty service standards. It’s important to our organization
since we are delivering units to over 4,000 new homeowners in the next
24 months.” Longo adds, “Our subcontractors prefer the simplified
work order distribution process and find the attached pictures of
the problem areas particularly helpful. It gives them the ability to
solve issues much faster, and typically eliminates calls to the
superintendent to diagnose the problem.”
